Technically An Adult
was conceived as a blog idea in the summer of 2013. This was the year I had
turned 18 and was preparing to go away to college. Of course I had no idea what
I was doing with my life but I did know I liked to write. Unfortunately, I wasn’t
too confident in my skills and lacked the ability to follow through on my
ideas.
Four years later, in the summer of 2017 I turned 22 and
finally decided to stop doubting myself and create this blog. It was to be a
repository of funny anecdotes about some of the life lessons I’ve learned thus
far.
Now you may be thinking- what
makes Sarah qualified to be giving out life advice?
Good question. I mean, technically I am an adult (see what I did there?). I pay bills, I can get
arrested, and I even have a credit score. Do I know what my credit score is?
No, but that’s beside the point. No adults know what they’re doing. Nobody has
all the answers.
What I do have is an impressive library of gifs and a sense
of humor. I make mistakes and find myself in weird situations but they turn
into learning experiences or as the great Oprah Winfrey calls them- “a-ha
moments”. See? The fact that I use Oprah
quotes makes me even more credible.
Anyways, I hope you find this blog helpful!
-Sarah
